  1. Lots of pools…

    But no compass points…

    Hey, Brad…

    Don’t you trust us… ;)

  2. Since I can’t get to my Google Earth for a few hours, and the NG maps selection doesn’t give the detail I need, I’m going to make a leap in the fog and go with my gut reaction…

    Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

PS If I’ve gotten the city right, I’ll get the co-ordinates this evening.

PPS Hey, it’s worth a shot, right?

  3. Keep trying.

  4. Any clues??
I think I know where it is, but there are sooo many pools (SPOILER) around, that it’s hard to find the exact location!

  5. If you’ve found it in the Northern Hemisphere, look around the NW corner of the boulevard ring road (visible in the bottom left of the photo) where it makes a bend. If in the Southern Hemisphere, look in the SE corner.

I’d love to know where you’re looking, but this is your find, so look for the curve. Good luck!

  6. Alan,
If I can’t find it until the end of the weekend, and no one else does, I tell you. I don’t know if it’s the real place, but it surelly is a nice view!
By the way, thanks for the tip!

  7. If I can’t find it until the end of the weekend, and no one else does, I tell you.

That’s very generous of you. If it comes to that, let Brad know and he can give you my email address.

  8. I found it… what a killer. I didn’t leave a continent untouched (except Antarctica of course).

  9. I guess I’m supposed to enter the coordinates here as well as sending the e-mail.

    And they are:
    12 deg 5′ 10″ S
    76 deg 57′ 05″ W

A little southeast of San Luis, Peru.

  10. Marcelo Schmidt Says:

I guess I was a little wrong then. Have you looked over Brasilia, Brazil? Man, THAT is a lot of pools. I was going crazy to find the image that wasn’t there.
    Anyway, good job Jim!
Take a good look, all around 15d50′ S and 57D42′50” and also a little to the North of there. Almost EVERY house has a pool.
