    Cape of Good Hope.

  2. Actually, no. Check your coordinates.

At least I got the name right. ;)

  4. The first time I looked for this I assumed that it was on the banks of some waterway (the dark stuff on the right). Of course, I tried Australia first!

Then I went to Africa, not expecting much. Truth be told, originally I had come to the Cape, but had, on a lark, focused just on the very tip, just to see the resolution. I didn’t bother looking a little further left. :(

Next day I zoomed in on the photo to get a better idea of what was there. That’s when I noticed some lighter colour in the bottom right — and I realized it was a cliff face. So, off I went to check out those falls on the Brazil/Argentina border. Gong! So I decided to revisit the previous searches I’d made. This time I was going to start in Africa and end in Australia. But lo and behold, shortly after landing in Cape Town, there it was. (give or take a transcription error on the co-ordinates).

I must say that turning your picture to better reflect North/South creates an image that plays a lot of tricks on the eyes!
