  1. Okay, everyone. It’s December 15th and this is the last one. Solve this and Adriaan will have a slightly merrier Christmas, courtesy of Ryan. Let’s get this one solved!

My contribution: I see this as a memorial at the north end of a steep ridge. Probably overlooking a battlefield from either the Revolutionary or Civil Wars. Near, or surrounded by, residential — high priced residential. PA, MD, or VA are candidates.

What do you think? Agree/disagree with my thoughts? Do you have other insights?

Or better yet, do you have the solution!!??

  2. Thanks for your considerations with my wellbeing during Christmas.
I’ll take this opportunty to wish you, Ryan, Brad and all the known and unknown Earthingpuzzlers a merry CHristmas and a very happy and peacefull New Year.

I fully agree with your comments.
It seems to me that there is some sort of structure on the northern end of the ridge (a concrete observationpoint?, remnants of old fortifications?).

New Jersey is also a top-candidate.

  7. Thanks, Alan and Deepb1ue.
And yes, it gets addictive, doesn’t it?

    So; cold turkey at Christmas?
Well there are still a few unsolved ‘regular’ puzzles to help us through the last days of 2005.
Though I have all but given up any hope of finding #51. For those that still think this one has to be in the US, or at least Northern America: take a look at

I’ve never seen a place with so many yellow buses.

  8. Allright! This is my first internet access in a week, I was hoping the last site would be found. It’s actually Lookout Mountain, the site of a Civil War battle. I’ll post the total results when I get back home, Adriaan and alan, please send your paypal address to
