  1. This is Spey Bay, part of the Moray Firth. It shows the coast between Bukie and Portnockie. These are in the County of Moray in Scotland.

  4. At the far left is the town of Cullen, my dad’s hometown. Moving to the right (westward) along the coast is Portknockie, my mum’s hometown. About midway across is Findochty, and finally the large towm on the right is the port of Buckie. (Before the amalgamation of Scottish counties, this was Banffshire).

    For the last five months of 1972 we lived in Buckie in a rowhouse overlooking the entrance to the harbour.

    I was 10 years old, and I was completely oblivious to the Summit Series.
